Poems Inspired by the Night
Untitled Poem
I sit alone in the night, Enchanted by the stars' soft light. Lightening splashes the distant sky, And, yet, the air is cool and dry.
I wish that you were here with me, The beauty of this night to see. Sit by me for just a while, And share with me a silent smile.
The evening brings a quiet peace That often seems just out of reach To you and I, two kindred souls- Who often fall short of our goals.
But, oh, the beauty of a night like this Is soothing as a lover's kiss. There's nothing more I want to do Than to sit right here and think of you.

Midnight's running toward the dawn To greet the sun with open arms. Leave behind the dark of night. Rejoice while walking in the Light! Forget the rain...ignore the snow! MAKE your sunshine where e'er you go! Open your heart, let others in. Spread your wings and soar the wind. When you find someone in need, Turn on your Light, and take the lead! If at dusk you feel forelorn, Remember the sunshine in the morn!
