Welcome to the Worlds of the Ramblin' Rose
Cool 'Cudas
This barracuda lives on the wreck of The City of Washington, about 35 feet under the sea in the John Pennekamp National Preserve just off the coast of Key Largo, Fl. He is just a little too friendly....I had to swat him/her with my camera.
November 1994
Here is another one at a different dive site, same year.
A really handsome specimen, photo taken at another dive site in Key Largo, Novemeber, 1996
I believe this is the largest barracuda I have seen to date. As he swam into a hollow between the corals, I wasn't sure if he was opening his mouth wide to get his teeth cleaned, or to take a bite out of my friends who had just swam by a moment before he showed up. Since there was no aggressive chase of my friends, I suppose he was just there to see the dental hygienist. Cozumel April 20, 1999
